The Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism is set to launch the inaugural 'Abu Dhabi Public Art Biennale' on November 15, showcasing works from over 70 artists globally, transforming the city into an artistic platform.

The Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi launches the first version of the "Abu Dhabi Public Art Biennial" under the title "For All" on November 15 of the current year. The event will feature works by more than 70 artists from the UAE and around the world and will take place in the center of Abu Dhabi and the Al Ain region, which represents a significant event for public art, as a valuable resource accessible to everyone through strategic platforms.

Among the participating artists are names such as Alora and Calcidula, Architectura Expandida, Christopher Joshuah Benton, Farah al-Kasimi, Jabuoyband, Khashab al-Lamki, Kabir Mohanti, Khalil Rabah, Oscar Murillo, Radika Kemdi, Sami Balvadji, Tarek Kessavanson, Wail Al-Awar, Zeynab al-Hashmi, and many others.

The biennial is designed to reframe the concept of "community" in relation to Abu Dhabi's unique vision of the need to preserve the historical identity of the nation, highlighting factors that contribute to the formation of places and public spaces that can offer an encompassing statement of the unique heritage aspects.

Mohammed Khalifa al-Mubarak, head of the Department of Culture and Tourism in Abu Dhabi, emphasized: "The biennial will be a unique platform for our community, sending a significant message to our cultural heritage and a source of inspiration through contemporary art." Rida Aoun, Director of Culture in the Department, added that the event aims to embody the essence and roots of Abu Dhabi's rich cultural heritage and also calls for local communities to engage with history and the interests of the nation through diverse artistic expressions that strengthen the emirate’s cultural identity.
